History
Wilson's Sawmill
- Abundant stands of pine and hardwoods in Little Bennett area gave rise to local water-powered saw mills in the 19th and early 20th centuries
- Wilson's Mill is identified on a map of the area dated from 1879
- The saw mill, owned by Lee Wilson, was located close to where Clarksburg Road crosses Little Bennett Creek; a sign indicating the former site of the mill is located on the west side of Clarksburg Road but it is believed the mill complex occupied both sides of the present road
