Picnic Areas
A great way to experience Little Bennett Park's natural beauty, serenity and even its remoteness is to 'picnic it.' Several picnic tables are strategically placed at particularly inviting spots along what amounts to the Park's central axis: Hyattstown Mill Road (a gravel road west of Clarksburg Road) and Kingsley Trail (its extension east of Clarksburg Road).

You can reach the picnic site near Hyattstown Mill by entering the Park near the Hyattstown Fire Station on MD 355. To reach the other sites, park at the Kingsley trailhead parking lot along Clarksburg Road. From here, you can reach Earl's Picnic Area by crossing Clarksburg Road and walking about a mile west down Hyattstown Mill Road. To reach the picnic areas at the Kingsley Schoolhouse and group campground area (which is usually occupied on weekends), walk east along Kingsley Trail about 1-11/2 miles. The final picnic area is immediately adjacent to the Kingsley parking lot under a grove of tall pine trees.

In addition to these picnic sites, each of the 91 camping sites in the campground has its own picnic table.

The picnic area adjacent to the Kingsley parking lot sits under towering pine trees.
